2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available as a 4xe plug-in Hybrid or a traditional gas model, but the Trailhawk trim is exclusively for the Hybrid. Each trim handles differently, from the base Laredo to the V8-powered Summit with air suspensions.

Exterior

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s front grille is now tilted inward and the taillights are more narrow, but everything else remains the same from previous model years. There is a long-wheelbase size, which makes the five-seater into a seven-seater and adds more cargo space. The Trailhawk, which is the off-road-focused trim, comes fitted with skid plates and big tow hooks

Interior

The interior is spacious, comfortable, and perfect for long drives; as the trims go higher, the interior becomes more luxurious. The Summit and Summit Reserve trims boast stitched surfaces, natural wood, and beautiful leather interiors. With foldable 2nd- and 3rd-row seats, you can increase cargo capacity on the Grand Cherokee L. Multi-colour ambient LED lighting comes standard on the Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve.

Performance

The Grand Cherokee is available with V6, V8, and plug-in hybrid engine options. The V6 paired with 8-speed automatic transmission goes from 0 to 100km in 8.5 seconds, and the V8 is slightly faster in acceleration, reaching 100 km in 6.0 seconds. The average fuel consumption on the gas models is 12.3L/100km for city driving and 9.2L/100km for highway driving. The plug-in hybrid can travel up to 40km on pure electric power, and it has a 2.0L turbo engine paired with two electric motors.

Infotainment

The base model comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display. You can upgrade to a 10.1-inch touchscreen on all models. With the Limited model, there is an option to have a 10.25-inch passenger side infotainment screen, as well, where the passenger can live stream, watch a movie or listen to music without disturbing the driver. Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, and HDMI ports are standard on every model.

Safety

New safety features on the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee include a 360-degree surround view with night vision cameras. Automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitors are standard on every model. There are optional driver assist options such as automatic parking, front parking sensors, and highway driving assistance.

Price and Trims

You can choose from seven different trims with this vehicle, from the Laredo to the Summit Reserve. Prices start at $53,045. All optional extras will add to the cost, and any colour other than white will add $400.

Conclusion

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is versatile, with impressive fuel economy, a towing capacity of over 3,000kg, and excellent off-road capabilities. With a 19-speaker McIntosh option available on Overland and Summit models, luxurious interiors, and innovative technology, driving the new 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is an experience not to be missed.
