The 2023 model year is shaping to be a final hoorah to the gas-powered Dodge Charger. As the next generation will come with an electric powertrain, Dodge will add some unique options to the 2023 model year. Several famous and iconic colours from the past will be available, including B5 Blue, Sublime Green, and Plum Crazy. All the R/T trims will have a "345" badge adjourning the front fender, a tribute to the HEMI V8 engine that’ll come with this trim level.

Engine Specifications


The Dodge Charger comes with five different engine options. The base engine is a 3.6L Pentastar V6 with a VVT that provides 300 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. The second engine is a 5.7L HEMI V8 with a VVT which provides 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. The third engine is a 6.4L SRT HEMI with a VVT which provides 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. The fourth engine is the 6.2L Supercharged HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 with 717 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. The final engine is the 6.2L Supercharged H.O. HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 pushing out 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque.

Design


The 2023 Dodge Charger is designed based on performance and power. An actual muscle car with all the features of a modern one. There are several packs that the Dodge Charger can come in. The SCAT PACK 392 and the Widebody, which comes with a powerful 392 HEMI V8. The SCAT PACK and the Widebody will do 0-96.6 km/h in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 281 km/h. It’ll also do a quarter mile (0.4km) in 12.4 seconds.

The awe-inspiring SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody, with the Supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8, combined with the TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission, will allow it to go 0-96.6 km/h in around 3.5 seconds. The Redeye will also provide a top speed of 327 km/h and achieve a time of 10.6 seconds at 208 km/h in the quarter mile (0.4km).

The first trim that the Dodge Charger comes with is the SXT, which starts at $44,360. Then it’s the G.T. starting at $47,460, the R/T at $50,860, the Scat Pack 392 at $61,210, the Scat Pack 392 Widebody at $69,210, the SRT Hellcat Widebody at $95,460, the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody at $113,460, and the final trim, the SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak starts at $114,755.
