The 2022 Ram 2500 is now in its fourth year of sales for the current generation, released in 2019. Trims Available and Prices
The 2022 Ram 2500 is available in six trims. The entry-level trim is the Tradesman, which starts at $55,540. Upper trims include the Big Horn, Power Wagon, Laramie and the Limited Longhorn. Pricing for these trims ranges between $58,440 to $78,145. The top-of-the-range trim is the Limited, which starts at $83,140. The Limited has Ram’s signature RamBox that’s 16.25cm in size, which can be used to safely store tools.
Engines and Performance
All models can be purchased in a crew and regular cab styles and are available in the standard fuel 6.4-litre V8. You do have the option to upgrade to the 6.7-litre turbo diesel, which will cost you an additional $9,450. All trims also have rear-wheel drive, and you can upgrade to four-wheel drive. The V8 6.4-litre engine will give you maximum power of 429 pound-feet of torque and 410 horsepower. The Power Wagon suspension is RAM-Articulink-powered and has a stabilizing disconnecting bar. The Power Wagon is also the only 2500 Ram truck that comes standard with WARN winch-recovery technology. It enables the truck to recover and winch a total weight of up to 12,000 pounds.
Interior, Technology and Safety Features
The Tradesman comes standard with Uconnect 3 and a 12.7cm touchscreen display centre with SiriusXM Guardian services. The Big Horn and all upper trims have an upgraded multimedia Uconnect system with a 21.33cm. The Big Horn and all upper trims have heated 17.78cm by 27.94cm heated trailer mirrors that fold manually, plus courtesy lamps and turn signals. Safety is enhanced with electronic base control. The Limited Longhorn has bucket front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather front and rear seats that are ventilated. Tech upgrades in the Limited Longhorn include GPS navigation and Ram Connect Services. The top-of-the-range Limited has a 30.48cm infotainment touchscreen.
